About a month ago Josh worked outside to make our garden bigger. So, of course, Shaw got to help. This was the first time he had ever really played in the dirt and mud, and he had a blast! I have always said if I ever had little boys (or girls) that liked to stay dirty I wasn't real sure what I was going to do since I don't even like to get dirt on my hands. Well, I am living that right now and it is helping me overcome by sensory issues with dirt for sure. I have to constantly take deep breaths and tell myself that it will come off :).On another note, we are excited about the garden being bigger and plan for the boys to sell the extra produce so they can put the money in their piggy banks. Hopefully this will become a yearly thing and will help them learn how to garden at a young age. We also hope that it will teach them a good work ethic since they will be helping and then getting a little money in return.
One of our good friends got the boys beach toys as a gift and we decided to break them in before they are used in the sand!
Daddy's biggest helper!
Sutton enjoyed it, too! He was about 2 weeks old here.
So happy!
