We (or I) were so excited to have a weekend full of nothing too important planned. We stayed at home, got a lot of play time in and made some changes around the house. Little man kept us on our toes at all times with all his mobility. We had to do our first round of child proofing by covering all the electrical outlets. Josh looked around his chair on Saturday and saw two little hands playing with the cords and luckily some smart family friend that thought in advance had got us outlet covers as part of a baby gift so we had some handy. After a few weeks of me nagging asking Josh to lower the crib he finally decided it needed to be done since Shaw is now crawling, pulling up, and even cruising some. The boy is into EVERYTHING and gets where ever he wants to go. Even though it can be quite exhausting, I am loving this stage. It is so much fun and I think he is overall a happier baby since he can do and go as he pleases. Saturday, we spent the day shopping for Josh. We have a super busy weekend coming up so we did his Father's Day early and I just let him pick out a few things he had been wanting. On Sunday, we finally got the nerve to take him to the church nursery. Josh was holding him when we dropped him off and of course he gave us the awful, sad face and started crying. As we walked to service, Josh said he thought he would go over during and make sure he was okay :). I talked him out of it since there were approximately 4 workers in his one room and us enjoying worship and a sermon together was the reason why we took him. The workers said he did great and was a sweetie! One not so fun thing we dealt with and our still trying to figure out is this rash Shaw has had. It has stayed about the same for the last two weeks and it is just around his mouth. Well, it donned on me a couple of nights ago that I had a dairy allergy growing up and my mom always mentioned something about a rash. Come to find out, it was a rash around my mouth. So, for the last two days we have done no formula and no yogurt. Luckily, I am not a huge milk drinker but I am trying to limit my dairy intake as well. We will see how the rash goes and if it doesn't get any better we will resume dairy. He has been slobbering quite a bit more lately so it could also be that. We will see. Overall, we had a great, family filled weekend. With how busy our life is I never take these times for granted.
Play time with Daddy. He LOVES this toy Mimi got him for Christmas. It is a basketball goal, baseball and bat, and football...all the sports (besides golf) Josh will approve of. Ha!
Yup, this is what our dogs are doing about 80% of the time. "Playing" or fighting, whichever you want to call it.
This is the rash :( It is looking a little better. Today, it is no longer raised but more of bigger patches of dry skin.
Had to take this picture of his chubby little knees. They are so red from all the crawling.
About to play with the outlet and cords, until we caught him in action.
I know I have mentioned before that Olivia was a rescue dog and we think she spent most of her time in a kennel since that is where she willingly goes all the other time her and Oliver aren't roughhousing it.
Happy (early) Father's Day, Josh.
More play time with daddy. Can you tell they like doing this? Oh, and it always involves a sport or ball. Love my boys!
First time in the trash.
haha this explains it all!
First time in the diapers.
First time messing with the dog kennel.
Yes, I pretty much walked around all weekend with the camera around my neck so I could catch all these hilarious, exhausting, once in a lifetime moments. Now, onto a super fun and busy weekend with one of our good family friends marrying another good family friend :). It's going to be a great time!!
