Two Months

Well, I have accidentally taken almost a two week break from blogging. Even though I am not working..or should I say not working outside the home (being a SAHM is the hardest job any woman can have) I am SO busy everyday. I am going to try to dedicate more time to blogging because I knew documenting our life this way will be very precious to me in the future. All this time flying by has lead me to NOT believe my sweet boy is two months old!! I feel like there is no way two months have already gone by. He has changed so much in the last month and is becoming such a fun, personality filled baby. Here are a few fun facts about our sweetie:

• At his Dr.'s appointment last week he weighed 8 lb 1.9 oz (1%) and was 20 1/4 in. long (25%). The Dr. was very happy with his weight gain and told me it takes several months for most preemies to ever get on the charts so even though it is only 1% that is a huge milestone.
• We weighed him at home on his actual two month birthday (yesterday) and he weighed 8 lb. 4.5 oz. So, our sweet boy gained almost 5 lb. in two months! AMAZING!!
• He is now wearing newborn and some 0-3 months clothes
• Today we moved up to size 1 diapers
• He still nurses every 3 hours during the day and sleeps from about 10:30-3:00 and 3:30-7:30 at night. Just waiting for him to sleep all night :)
• He still sleeps on his nap nanny! Good thing it is big because he will probably sleep on it until he is a toddler
• He has had some reflux issues, but after two medicines we finally have it under control and we no longer have a baby that spits up two to three times every feeding!
• He can hold his head up very well and likes tummy time more since he can look around and turn his head easily
• He makes eye contact and it just melts my heart everytime :)
• He turns to voices/noises and loves exploring his environment
• Being outside is his absolute favorite. He doesn't make one sound and I think he wouldn't even eat if I let him be outside all day long.
• IMPATIENT!! (he gets this from me) You think he hasn't eaten for days every time he gets hungry
• Smiles the sweetest smile all the time
• He has found his voice and makes the sweetest noises!
• He plays with his tougue all the time so I think he has figured out what it is as well
• He is up a lot more during the day. Only takes about two good, long naps.
• Loves play time and looking at himself in the mirror and listening to his toys that play music.
• Has found his momma's hair. He grabs on and doesn't let go. He also likes jewerly :)
• Loves the car. I am actually happy about this because he actually likes his carseat.
• Still loves being swaddled.
• Looks more and more like his daddy everyday :)
• Very happy and pretty easy going baby

Shaw Michael you have brought so much joy to us over the last two months. We have enjoyed watching you grow and can't wait to experience so many more "firsts" with you. We are so in love with you and our love grows more and more everyday. Happy two months sweet boy!
