Brothers

Our first "baby" was our one and a half year old Westie, Oliver. Before Shaw came along he got our undivided attention and we knew that was going to change dramatically once Shaw arrived. We were very concerned about how he would act when Shaw got here and take on the role of big brother or in our terms "big bubby". So far, so good. Some days he pays so much attention to Shaw and just stares and licks on him (until I tell him to quit) and other days he acts like he isn't even in the room and completely ignores him. Overall, we still think he has no idea what Shaw is, but he acts very good around him. He is also very  protective, which is a Westie trait. He will just lay or sit beside "little bubby", including laying in my lap when I am nursing. If I ever have one boy in my lap, I have both. Here are some sweet pictures of our two boys. I can't wait to watch them grow up together :)

So sweet and funny. We put Shaw down on the floor so Oliver could sniff him and he immediately went and got his ball. He just knew his little bubby wanted to play already. He could see the best friend potential right off :)

Since Shaw has gotten here Oliver has definitely taken over the role of dog instead of baby. We still love him the same and know he will always be a great protector and friend to his little brother.
