Sylvie 9 months

Daddy was out of town for 3 out of the 4 weeks so we stayed super busy! He was so afraid he was going to miss her crawling for the first time but luckily she did start the week before he left when she was still 7 months old. She learned a lot this month and I can slowly see my baby slipping away and a toddler emerging :( Here is all about her at 9 months!

  • Weighs between 18 and 19 lbs.
  • Moved to size 4 diapers
  • Wearing 9 month and 12 month clothing, some 6 month still fit snugly
  • Still has little feet, wearing size 1 shoes
  • Went to the beach for the first time (besides when I was pregnant with her last year)
  • Crawling has become more coordinated but still army crawls some.
  • Started pulling up last week, can get to her knees but hasn't made it to both feet yet
  • Learned to go from laying down to sitting up
  • Is now waving while saying "bye" and "hi!"
  • Says Bubba, Dada, Mama, NighNigh
  • Still loves the dogs
  • Her hair had a growth spurt this month and got lighter
  • Claps/swings her arms and starts singing when she hears music
  • BUSY, busy, BUSY. Never wants to sit still!
  • Her favorite things are shoes! ALL shoes, even dirty ones!
  • Has learned how to get her brothers in trouble by just screaming or crying when they take her toys away
  • Still has 2 teeth but the front top ones look like they are coming in!
  • Going through a phase of HATING her diaper being changed. I think putting a diaper on a pet monkey would be easier.
  • Wakes up 1x to eat at night. If I believed in letting her cry I'm sure she would stop but I can't stand it and I secretly like the extra cuddle time during the night. (You have a different perspective when it's your last baby!)
  • Has become very shy and doesn't like when strangers talk to her.
  • Has come to realize that she has a bow on her head and has started pulling them off. I've told her she might as well get used to them because that is one battle momma WILL win :)
  • Still a great little eater. Loves all the food that we have presented to her (fruits, veggies, yogurt, and egg). Will start meat this month. She does great picking up her food and using a sippy cup.
  • Gets into everything. We are constantly digging things out of her mouth!
  • Known for always smiling and being such a happy baby!
We love you baby girl. You are so fun and so so sweet! I love being your momma!

Beach Vacation 2015

Our trip started out with all three kids having the stomach bug the day before we left. So while packing bags and loading the car, we were cleaning up throw up. The way down there was going great until the redheaded, middle child decided to get sick two more times in the car. So to say the least, the smell the last 6 hours was much more than unpleasant. We made it and got settled into our condo that Friday night. The next day, I woke up with the bug!! Needless to say, Josh and I considered going home at the rate our vacation was going. BUT, but let me tell you, we had no other mishaps starting Saturday night and ended up having a great vacation!! Luckily, we decided to stay for a whole week this year so we had plenty of time to redeem ourselves.

People ask, and I'm pretty straight forward. Going on vacation with three babies/little kids is no walk in the park. You learn to make the most of it, through the hard work, and have a great time. We made lots of memories and all three kids LOVED the beach! We spent our day on the beach in the mornings and in the afternoons we would head to the pool or the boys would go on a bike ride. One day, sis and I went shopping at the outlets. Josh and I also took turns enjoying alone time on the beach during naps! It was really great. We went out to eat every night hitting all our favorite local places! To subside the kids wants, we went to a big chain restaurant and to ride rides one night! We enjoyed Baytowne one night after dinner and spent several nights in Seaside enjoying all the stores and family activities. We really had a great trip!!

This chick loved the baby pool we filled with water for her every day!

Their favorite part of the whole trip, playing in the sand!

We always love staying in the small condos along 30A every year. This year we stayed in the Eastern Lake area. The condo couldn't have been more accessible to the beach being on the ground floor and 10 steps away (literally) from the sand.

Both boys decided they liked the ocean and waves this year. Shaw Michael even begged us to let him swim by himself. Not yet, big boy!

The boys slept in the same bed, like always, and did great!

I can't help but put them in all matching outfits. I'll do it until they absolutely refuse :)

Getting ready to go crab hunting!

Crazy sunscreen hair!!

Sun, sand, and burying each other!

A night in Seaside for dinner and watching a play on the lawn! Such a fun time!

Girls shopping day!

 ....and there was pouting. Ha!

BUT much more smiling!

 Picture night!

(behind the scenes....the struggle is REAL!)

Our only family picture....with terrible lighting and a ton of people in the background. At least we are all smiling, right!?!

So thankful for our time together away with no chores to do, and all the naps, relaxation, and fun we wanted! It was much needed!
