Beach Trip

We had a fantastic time on our vacation a few weeks ago. We went to the beach to see Josh's cousin get married and then we stayed the week. The first few days the weather was a little odd. The locals said the winter wind had stayed around a few extra weeks and it was cooler than normal. The last four days or so the weather was perfect, 80;s and a slight breeze. Everyone kept telling me how much work it would be taking babies but we really didn't think it was that bad. The convenience of our condo was the key. It was on the ground level and literally 5 steps away from the beach. One of us could be on the beach with the boys and be able to call out to the other one from out patio. It was so nice. We also had a little yard between our patio and the beach which was a great play area for Shaw. Josh would go and set the tent up in the mornings and take all our stuff down, then we would stay out all morning, go in for lunch, take naps, and then get ready for dinner or whatever activity we were doing that night. I can't wait until the boys do not require such long naps so we can go back out to the beach after naps and before dinner but 3-4 hours a day will do for now while they are babies. Shaw had the time of his life, he loved every bit of it, and Sutton was the happiest baby all week. I think we have decided that May is the time to go and we are already planning next year's trip! Please excuse all the pics but I did dwindle them down to the mere 200 I took over the week.

First day there.

The best thing about the trip was all being together with nothing to do but enjoy each other!

Picture night. It went about as good as we expected! Ha!

Yup...this is the best we could get.

In this picture I am standing on almost the exact spot Josh and I got married and that is the house we stayed in and our reception was at. It is still just as beautiful 4 years later.

Mimi and her grands.

I can NOT wait to go back.
