Even though we don't have kids that are school aged, today is still considered the last day of summer in our house. Josh has taken classes all summer but he will start the second semester of his "junior" year tomorrow and I start back to work in the schools. The past few weeks for us have been super busy. We had family come into town, several birthdays to celebrate including Shaw's second, and some fabulous weather that we have taken great advantage of. We also have some changes coming our way. The boys will continue to stay with my sister two days a week and will start staying at a new sitter's house the other two days. We have also been seriously shopping around for land that we will build on and what we hope will be our forever "homestead". I get stressed just thinking about putting our house on the market, hopefully selling it quickly, and building, but it looks like that is in our very near future. This summer has been everything I expected it to be: a big transition from a family of three to four, the sleepless nights and long days with an infant, the ever so exciting times with a two year old, and making lots of memories I hope to never forget. Here are pictures of some things we did in August.
We spent a lot of time outside playing with the bubble machine Shaw received as a birthday present.
We had a few rainy days of staying inside, cuddling, and watching cartoons.
This little guy learned how to sit up and is trying so hard to figure crawling out.
Mommy made lots of homemade baby food and baby brother hated all of it. I guess he isn't ready for food after all.
We celebrated Ganna and Pops' birthdays.
Shaw received ice cream a few times for using the big boy potty.
My brother and his family came into town. We all got introduced to these two cuties for the first time.
We had a great time with them while playing at the Museum of Discovery and the splash pad.
We tried more food with brother and he still wasn't a fan :)
