I had loads of fun this year putting Shaw's Halloween costume together. He is obsessed with his cowboy boots and will wear them around the house. After the third time of him bringing them to me and wanting me to put them on him, after he had tried and failed himself, I thought I would let him be a cowboy for Halloween. What else?! While we were in Nashville, they had a western store that had toddler sized hats and belts so that is where we purchased those two items. To make it even easier, I already had his cowboy shirt that I purchased last year for really cheap. Another thought, with having two boys, I knew these items would get their money's worth after several years of playing cowboys and indians :). Since Halloween fell on a Wednesda this year, we took him over to his Mimi's for her to see him and then went to our church's fall festival! Even though we will never celebrate the "real" meaning of Halloween, I will always dress my kids up and let them trick or treat or go to festivals. I did that as a child and have a ton of sweet memories from my trick or treating days.
